Re:             Weather Extreme Heat Days “Hot Days” (102 Degrees or over)

Parents and students welcome to the 2019-20 school year! We have been following the weather forecast for the first few weeks of school and it appears that we may have several days of extreme heat. Our school classrooms are not air conditioned, therefore, if the forecast for the temperature is 102 degrees or higher by noon, the school district will call a minimum day.  School will end at 1:00 p.m. for Elementary grades and at 1:05 p.m. for Middle and High Schools on those minimum days. Parents/students will be notified the day before a minimum day is called based on the forecast.

Please look for a written notice or Schoolwise text message that may be sent. Notice will also be placed on our website, http://maricopaschools.org . Please call the school office at 661-769-8231, if you have additional questions.

Thanks for your support!
