Based on Governor Newsom’s Executive Order #N-56-20, the deadline for districts to develop and for Board approval of the three-year LCAP plan has been modified. The order extends the deadline from June 30th to December 15th suspending the LCAP Board approval connection tied to budget projections into the next school year.
Instead of submitting a three-year LCAP with the June budget, districts will submit an update of COVID-19 related impacts on students and plans to address those impacts. The Board approved the LCAP COVID19 Report on June 11, 2020. The report was submitted to Kern County Superintendent of Schools Office with the Board approved June Budget.
The Maricopa Unified School District values the input of students, parents and the staff as it prepares to develop the next Local Control Accountability Plan and Budget for the 2020-21 school year.
